A New Chapter: Joining Our Law Firm as a Freelance DC Bar Attorney
While law firms provide numerous advantages, there are also many trade-offs. Billable quotas, corporate environments, and relentless pressure to continuously be doing “more.” Attorneys working in law firms are often handsomely compensated, but unfortunately, it is often at the expense of their personal lives. In response, many lawyers dream of going solo, but the prospect of managing their own staff and handling their own administrative work while serving their clients prompts many to stay where they are. What if there were some other options? What if there were a law firm that provides the infrastructure you need while providing you with the autonomy and quality of life you are looking for?
Scott Moncrieff & Watt, PLLC: A Law Firm for Freelance Lawyers
Our firm is built upon the belief that lawyers produce their best work when they are satisfied in both their professional and personal lives. Because a healthy work-life balance can mean different things to different lawyers and can change throughout a career, we recognized that we needed to build a new kind of law firm – one that is composed of independently-minded lawyers with entrepreneurial spirits who are looking for an opportunity to build the professional and personal life that they want. Over time, we came to believe that the best way to provide lawyers with the freedom and flexibility they would need was to engage them on a freelance basis.
